Should I just get a new cheap bike?
The current price for a new big box store or decent used bikes starts at around $200. In most cases still need a tune up or repair. So the cheapest option we believe a bike to be is around $300. That alone may help your decision making.
If you do get a new bike we recommend purchasing from a dedicated bike shop and not big box store. You will get better customer support and overall investment.

Some bike shops have greater resources when it comes to factory specific parts, warranties and more high end racing components.

How do I know if I need a new tire or new bike tube?
First, put air in the tire until it is firm or at it's recommended tire pressure, noted on the side of the tire. Monitor the time it takes to go flat again. If it goes flat within a couple days, then you most likely need to service it.
Signs May You Need a New Tire:
Tread Wear:
Check the tread on your tires. If it's worn down to the casing threads or has little to no tread left, it’s time for a new tire.
Sidewall Damage:
Look for cracks, cuts, or bulges on the sidewalls of your tire. This kind of damage can lead to blowouts or sudden wheel lockup. This is a serious safety hazard and should not be ridden on.
Age:
Tires have a lifespan, typically around 3-5 years, even if they appear to be in decent shape. If your tires are older than that, consider replacing them for optimum performance and safety.
